Li Fan Chinese Model

Posted by guaylao on Aug 9, 2011 in li-fan

We recently discovered Li Fan probably one of the hottest chinese models we’ve ever seen. She’s 24 years old and originally started off as a moko girl from Zhengzhou China. I’m sure we’ll see more of her in the future. In the meantime check out a few photos and the li fan video we created on Youtube. You can find a bunch of photos on her moko girl page.

Hyori Lee Cosmopolitan June 2011

Posted by guaylao on Jul 11, 2011 in hyori

Hyori Lee Cosmopolitan the June 2011 Korean edition of Cosmopolitan magazine published a new Hyori Lee photoshoot which took place in Hawaii. Hyori is now 32 years old and looking pretty amazing for all you guys out there who say over 30 is “too old”, you might want to think again! Unfortunately the only images available for download currently are quite small. Hyori lee in 2011 is currently working on a new album. A representative of her agency said, “Her album was originally scheduled to be released in June, but because we haven’t yet finished collecting songs and finalizing preparations, we’ve decided that it will be difficult for her to comeback as planned.” According to representatives, she will be making her comeback by August 2011 at the earliest, or by September at the latest.

HonoraryAsian.com created a custom hyori lee wallpaper with several of the photos from the shoot (as well as one from an older Hyori Cosmo photoshoot) and the majority of photos can be viewed in the Hyori Gallery below that. I also added a few unreleased photos from the shoot.

It’s not really “asian” news, but feeltheperfect.com just posted a sweet and mellow mix by Jaytech. It’s progressive house and very cool. There are a bunch of other mixes and music (both house and rock) that you can stream or download on that site as well. Check it out!

Anjunadeep is a sub-label of British trance label Anjunabeats, set up in 2005. It releases progressive trance and house records, as opposed to the primarily uplifting, big-room trance of its parent label. It was founded by Tony McGuinness, Jono Grant and Paavo Siljamäki, known collectively as Above & Beyond, along with Ozgur Can, who later left the label. In addition, James Grant, the brother of Jono Grant, hosts a monthly Anjunadeep edition of the parent label’s radio show Anjunabeats Worldwide and together with Jaytech, is also responsible for the A&R for the label. The label is now managed by James Grant.

Artistic rice fields of Japan

Artistic rice fields of Japan

Rice crop art has “sprung up” across rice fields in Japan..

Farmers creating these huge displays use no ink or dye. Instead, different colored rice plants have been precisely and strategically arranged and grown in the paddy fields.

As summer progresses and the plants shoot up, the detailed artwork begins to emerge when viewed from a distance.

A Sengoku warrior on horseback has been created from hundreds of thousands of rice plants.

The colors are created by using different varieties of rice.  This photo was taken in Inakadate, Japan.

Napoleon on horseback can be seen from the skies.

This was created by precision planting and months of planning by villagers and farmers located in Inkadate, Japan.

The farmers create the murals by planting little purple and yellow-leafed Kodaimai rice along with their local green-leafed Tsugaru, a Roman variety, to create the colored patterns in the time between planting and harvesting in September. The murals in Inakadate cover 15,000 square meters of paddy fields.

Rice-paddy art started in Japan in 1993 as a local revitalization project, an idea that grew from meetings of the village committees.

In 2005, agreements between landowners allowed the creation of enormous rice paddy art.
A year later, organizers used computers to precisely plot planting of the four differently colored rice varieties that bring the images to life.

marisa-in-flight-bad-appleTouhou is a shooter type videogame spearheaded by a developer in Japan named ZUN. They are typically overhead scrollers similar to Raiden. Check out more info at Wikipedia.org. The following is a very cool music video containing many of the well known characters from Touhou games. It uses a very cool silhouette painting style and the song is pretty catchy! Check it out!
